Eliana Nunley

I recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting both on stage and behind the camera. Acting and music have always had a special place in my heart, and the ability they have to take people outside of their world is something I can only hope to be a part of.  As a childhood cancer survivor, I especially can appreciate its importance. Emotionally, the most devastating moment during my experience with cancer, was when I lost my last tiny bit of hair- because it meant I couldn’t have a ponytail like Princess Belle. During treatment, at the age of three, my mom got special permission to bring me to Beauty and the Beast at a local theater. As soon as the show started, I was brought away from the pain, and my family was relieved for a few hours, as I was entranced by the performance. Not only do they have this magical ability to relieve the pain that life often inflicts upon us, but they also have such great potential to spark conversations that wouldn't otherwise be had.

I started live theater at the age of 12, rather old comparatively, but immediately fell in love with it. I have performed with Opera San Luis Obispo since I was fifteen years old, as well as with San Luis Obispo Repertory. A year and a half ago, I began studying with Aaron Metchik at Actor's Edge, which inspired me to move forward with my dream.
